During my time at the University of Miami, I worked as an executive producer and reporter for UM’s student-run and award-winning cable channel UMTV.
I produced/hosted their political talk show “We The Students” and filed reports for the Emmy Award winning program “Newsvision”. Below are samples of some of that work.

How would you feel if you had to wake up at the crack of dawn to run a mile or two around a college campus and do simulated battle missions? If that seems daunting, then you probably aren't one of these students. For UMTV, a look at the 'Canes who have chosen to answer the call of duty via the UM/FIU Army ROTC program.


This is a profile of Dr. Michael Gaines, an Assistant Provost of Undergraduate Research and Community Outreach at the University of Miami which aired on UMTV's Newsvision. Officially, Dr. Michael Gaines is a professor of biology, but according to him, when he's in the classroom he really tries to take on the role of a storyteller. This is his story.

State of the U is an annual event hosted by student government which aims to inform the student body of SG project successes, provide status updates on various ongoing projects and allows them promote their goals for the future. However, not many students are aware of the event nor really know how the organization serves them. This report delves into those different aspects.
